Who these terms cover

These terms apply when you use the websites and chat channels I run: preibisch.biz (AI consulting and web services), BC Latin Dance in Chilliwack, British Columbia, BCS Latin Dance in Baja California Sur, Mexico, and the related Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp accounts. I am Paul Preibisch, also known as Salsa Paul. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Using the sites and chat

Use the sites and chat channels honestly and respectfully. Please do not send spam, anything unlawful, or anything meant to harass or harm someone, and do not try to break into or disrupt the sites or the systems behind them. I may block anyone who does, and I may change or stop any part of a site or channel at any time.

Chat replies, including automatic ones, are general information. Class times, prices and locations can change, so check the event page for the latest details.

Classes, events and payments

Dancing involves physical activity and some risk. If you join a class or event you take part at your own risk, you are responsible for your own health and fitness, and you agree to sign the waiver where one is required. Prices, what is included, and any cancellation or refund terms are shown when you register or pay. I will treat you fairly if a class is cancelled or you cannot attend, and you can write to me to ask about it.

Consulting and web work is covered by the quote or agreement we make for that project. If that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement wins.

Content and ownership

The text, photos, videos, designs and code on my sites belong to me or to the people who made them, and you may not copy or resell them without asking. If you send me a message, comment or photo, you keep ownership, and you let me use it to reply to you and, for comments or photos you post for public view, to display it on the site or channel. If you would like something of yours removed, tell me and I will take care of it.

Third-party services

My sites and channels run on services from other companies, such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp), Google, Zoho, Vercel and Square. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and I do not control them. How I handle your personal information is explained in my Privacy Policy.

No guarantees and limits on liability

I do my best to keep things accurate and running, but the sites and channels are provided as they are, without promises that they will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, I am not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from using them. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection or other law that cannot be waived.

Changes, law and contact

If I change these terms, I will update the date at the top of this page, and using the sites after that means you accept the new version.
