About Paul

Paul Preibisch is an AI developer and consultant based in Chilliwack, BC. He has spent more than fifteen years building enterprise software — and the last two years working out how to hand that capability to people who do not write code.

That is the whole of what he teaches. Not the hype version and not a features tour: the five or six things that actually stand between a business owner and getting useful work out of AI, explained in plain words, with the jargon arriving only after the room has already watched the thing work.

Background & Experience

Bachelor of Computer Science, Simon Fraser University, 2000. What followed splits into two threads that have only recently joined back up.

Teaching with technology. In 2005 he moved to Seoul to teach English at Mokdong Elementary School, and built English Village — a virtual island in Second Life, given away free to educators, that brought students into a living environment to learn in ways a classroom could not replicate. It reached over 3,000 educators worldwide and ran for years. He contributed to Sloodle, the open-source bridge between Moodle and Second Life, and built the first Facebook-to-Second-Life connector.

Building systems. Fifteen years as the technical partner to Globify - a multilingual dictionary platform, a flashcard editing environment, a YouTube transcript processing tool, and an AI-powered moderation portal to help Globify's content team build content for their Video Flashcards in the Globify mobile language-learning app.

Now. He created AgentVibes, an open-source voice integration for the Claude Code CLI used by developers worldwide, and works with people and businesses who want to skip the hype and put AI to practical use. He also runs bclatindance.com — the site, the posters and the ticketing built almost entirely the way he teaches, which is the example he uses when someone asks whether any of this actually works.

The Salsa Question

If the name is already familiar and it is not from software, you have not mixed him up with anyone. Paul Preibisch is also Salsa Paul — he has been dancing salsa for over twenty years, has taught it in Canada and Mexico, and runs BC Latin Dance here in Chilliwack. This section exists because a local reader usually meets one of those two people first, and is then left to work out what the other one is doing there.

Software is the trade. Salsa is what keeps him a well-rounded human. You can spend an entire day talking to a machine, and the dance floor is the way back into a room full of people.

The real difference is who the work reaches — and when you get to feel it. A software project serves one client or one company, mostly out of sight. Teaching salsa is the opposite: your skill becomes a real joy to a whole room of people in real time, and that is much more gratifying. Instead of an act of service for one business, it is an act of service for a room full of beginners — and you experience that joy with them while you teach. Both come from the same impulse to be useful. They just have very different reach.

AI Secret Sauce is where the two meet. It is the work he normally does quietly, for one business at a time, taught instead to a room of them.

It is also the answer to the only question that really matters about a hands-on class. That question is not whether the instructor is technical enough — it is whether he can teach. Twenty years of beginners arriving nervous, with no partner and no experience, and leaving two hours later able to do something they could not do when they walked in, is not a hobby sitting beside the day job. For this course, it is the relevant qualification.

AI Secret Sauce — Chilliwack

Four Monday nights at Cowork Chilliwack, starting Monday, September 28, 2026

A small, practical course for people who have tried AI and found it underwhelming, or have not tried it at all and are tired of hearing about it. Bring a laptop. Nothing in it requires you to write code — it requires you to describe what you want in English and to know which doors exist.

The promise is the whole pitch: the secret isn't the sauce — it's that there are only five ingredients, and nobody ever showed them to you. The course is those five, one night at a time, each one demonstrated live before it is explained.

1. Get AI out of the chat box and into the apps you already use.
2. Try anything, break nothing. Every edit kept, roll back any time.
3. Uncover a host of free tools that do the job — AI installs them.
4. Build a real website or app, and put it online the same night.
5. Customize a team of real AI agents, just by describing them.
